Verdict on £190 Million Reference Against Imran Khan & Bushra Bibi Postponed

ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad Accountability Court has postponed the verdict in the £190 million reference case against PTI founder Imran Khan and his wife, Bushra Bibi. The court had initially scheduled the ruling for Monday, following a year-long trial that included statements from 35 witnesses. However, during today’s hearing, Judge Nasir Javed Rana informed the PTI lawyers that the decision would not be announced as planned. The judge attributed the delay to the ongoing proceedings at the High Court and the fact that the judgment was still being written.

Lawyer Khalid Chaudhry, who had anticipated the verdict today, was advised to check for a new hearing date within the next 10 minutes. The Islamabad Accountability Court had reserved its decision on December 18 after both sides had presented their arguments. The ruling will now be delivered at a later date, with the new hearing scheduled to take place at Adiala Jail.
