Verdict in £190 Million Case Against Imran Khan Tomorrow
ISLAMABAD: The long-awaited verdict in the £190 million case against Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan and his wife, Bushra Bibi, will be announced tomorrow by an Accountability Court in Rawalpindi.
The court has informed the counsel for both Imran Khan and the NAB prosecution team that the verdict will be delivered at 11 AM tomorrow at Adiala Jail. This follows the court’s decision to defer the verdict announcement for the third time.
Previously, the Islamabad Accountability Court had reserved its verdict after hearing arguments from both the prosecution and defense teams. Judge Nasir Javed Rana oversaw the hearings, which began nearly a year ago. The case concerns allegations involving a £190 million reference, and the verdict has been highly anticipated after several delays.
This case is a significant one for the PTI leader, with previous bail pleas in the Toshakhana and £190 million cases being rejected. The final verdict is expected to have major political and legal implications for Imran Khan and his wife.

NCA case
The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) had launched an investigation against Imran Khan and his wife and others for the alleged gain of hundreds of canals of land in the name of Al Qadir University Trust, which reportedly caused a loss of 190 million pounds to the national exchequer.
As per the charges, the former prime minister and others accused allegedly adjusted Rs50 billion — 190 million pounds at the time — sent by Britain’s National Crime Agency (NCA) to the government.
The NAB filed a corruption reference against Imran and seven others, including his wife, in connection with the Al-Qadir University.
The PTI chief registered Trust for Al-Qadir University Project on Dec 26, 2019.
