Usman’s Century Powers Panthers to 329 Against Dolphins
Faisalabad-In the third game of the Champions One-Day Cup at Iqbal Stadium in Faisalabad, Panthers posted a formidable 329-run target against Dolphins. Usman Khan’s maiden List A century (104 off 97 balls) and fifties from Haider Ali (63 off 46 balls) and captain Shadab Khan (65 off 45 balls) propelled Panthers to a competitive total.
After a shaky start, losing openers Saim Ayub (6) and Abdul Bangalzai (5) early, Usman Khan anchored the innings. He paired with Umar Siddiq (30 off 39) to stabilize the ship before Siddiq’s run-out. Mubasir Khan (5) fell to Faheem Ashraf, but Usman and Haider Ali’s 103-run stand put Panthers back on track.
Haider’s aggressive knock included five fours and three sixes, while Usman reached his century. Shadab Khan’s late onslaught and Usama Mir’s cameo (22 off 13 balls) helped Panthers reach 328 in 49.4 overs.
Dolphins’ bowlers, led by Usman Qadir (3-64), Mir Hamza (2-64), and Abbas Afridi (2-65), shared the wickets. Panthers will look to defend their total, while Dolphins aim to chase it down.
