US Delegation Set to Arrive Pakistan for Iran Talks
ISLAMABAD: According to sources, JD Vance is expected to arrive in Pakistan tomorrow night as part of a key diplomatic initiative. His visit comes amid preparations for high-level discussions between the United States and Iran in Islamabad.
Sources indicate that prominent US figures Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner will also reach Pakistan tomorrow. They are set to join Vice President Vance in talks with the visiting Iranian delegation.
Meanwhile, a 23-member US advance team has already arrived in Islamabad to manage logistics and security arrangements. This group includes technical experts and support personnel to ensure smooth coordination of the upcoming meetings.
Global Leaders Applaud Pakistan’s Role in Iran-US Ceasefire Deal
On the Iranian side, senior leaders including Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf and Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi are also expected in Islamabad, with reports suggesting their arrival late last night.
Earlier, White House spokesperson Caroline Lutet stated that Donald Trump has dispatched a negotiating team to Pakistan to engage in dialogue with Iran. The talks are scheduled to take place in Islamabad on Saturday morning.
In addition, Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian has informed Pakistan’s Prime Minister that Tehran’s delegation will participate in the discussions, underlining the importance of these diplomatic efforts.
