US gave Israel $21.7 billion in war aid, study finds.

A Brown University report details over $21 billion in US military aid to Israel during two years of Gaza conflict.

United States – (Special Correspondent / Web Desk) – The United States has provided at least $21.7 billion in military aid to Israel over the last two years, according to a new study from Brown University’s Costs of War Project. This support has been approved by both the Biden and Trump administrations since the conflict in Gaza began.

A large part of this funding, about $17.9 billion, was allocated in the first year of the war. An additional $3.8 billion was set aside for the second year. Some of these weapons have already been sent, while the rest will be delivered in the coming years.

This military aid is part of a broader pattern of U.S. support. A separate report found the U.S. has spent an extra $9.65 to $12.07 billion on its own military operations in the wider Middle East during this time. This includes costs for actions in Yemen and Iran. When combined with the aid to Israel, the total U.S. spending on these conflicts reaches between $31.35 billion and $33.77 billion.

Researchers from the Costs of War Project, which is known for its in-depth analysis of U.S. war spending, produced the report in partnership with the Quincy Institute for Responsible Statecraft in Washington. The study concludes that without this extensive financial and military backing, Israel would not have been able to sustain its military campaign in Gaza.

The report was released as indirect talks between Israeli and Hamas officials were set to resume in Egypt. Both sides had shown support for certain parts of a U.S. peace plan.
