This high-profile engagement comes on the heels of a series of political manoeuvres and deliberations within the Pakistani political landscape.
Notably, PTI leaders had recently engaged in discussions with officials from the British High Commission, indicating a flurry of diplomatic engagements amid the evolving political scenario.

The meeting assumes added significance in the backdrop of former Prime Minister Imran Khan’s persistent accusations against the United States. Khan has openly attributed the downfall of his government to the US, citing the no-confidence motion spearheaded by the opposition as orchestrated by external influences.

However, despite Khan’s claims, the US State Department had refuted any involvement in the political developments within Pakistan, dismissing allegations of interference in the country’s domestic affairs.
