US Delegation Highlights Interest in Pakistan’s Investment Landscape in COAS Meeting
US-Pakistan Discuss B2B, G2G, and Regional Security in Key Meeting
RAWALPINDI: A high-level US delegation, led by Mr. Eric Meyer, Senior Bureau Official for the Bureau of South and Central Asian Affairs, met with General Syed Asim Munir, Chief of Army Staff (COAS) of Pakistan, at General Headquarters today. The meeting, held against the backdrop of Pakistan’s Mineral Investment Forum, focused on strengthening bilateral ties and exploring opportunities in mineral development.
The delegation expressed its confidence in Pakistan’s efforts to unlock its vast untapped mineral resources through mutually beneficial partnerships. Mr. Meyer highlighted the US Administration’s emphasis on collaboration with Pakistan in this area, noting that mineral development was a key aspect of their shared interests. He also acknowledged Pakistan’s steadily improving investment climate.
Both sides took the opportunity to discuss global developments and Pakistan’s regional security concerns. The conversation also focused on expanding business-to-business (B2B) connections, in addition to strengthening existing government-to-government (G2G) and people-to-people (P2P) cooperation.

The meeting concluded with both sides expressing optimism about the positive trajectory of their bilateral relationship and the potential for greater collaboration in the future.
