US and Israel Prepare for Possible New Iran Strikes

US Military Assets Could Reach Readiness by November: Report

WASHINGTON: (News Desk) – The United States and Israel are reportedly preparing plans for a possible new military operation against Iran, with potential strikes expected to be brief but intense, according to a report attributed to The New York Times. However, US President Donald Trump has not given final approval for the proposed action, according to the account.

The reported planning comes amid continuing tensions between Washington, Tel Aviv and Tehran. Potential targets could include Iran’s energy infrastructure, nuclear facilities, and stockpiles of missiles and drones.

The report also indicates that US military assets across the Middle East could be placed on heightened readiness by early November as preparations continue for possible military action.

US Defence Secretary Pete Hegseth reportedly discussed the possibility of further strikes during a meeting with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. The United States and Israel are also said to be conducting military exercises in Iraqi airspace as part of preparations for potential operations.

According to the report, US officials believe further attacks could place additional pressure on Iran’s economy. However, questions remain over whether another round of strikes would achieve the intended strategic objectives.

Previous military action against Iran has contributed to concerns over global energy markets, with disruptions and heightened regional tensions capable of pushing oil prices higher and adding to inflationary pressures.

Despite the reported preparations, the possibility of further attacks remains uncertain. With no final presidential authorisation confirmed in the account, the plans should not be interpreted as a decision to launch a new military operation.
