UAE Calls For Restraint And Dialogue To Prevent Regional Escalation
ABU DHABI: (Special Reporter) – The United Arab Emirates has expressed deep concern over the recent developments in the region, calling for an immediate reduction in tensions and an end to escalating hostilities.
The UAE urged all sides to exercise maximum restraint, warning that further escalation could push the region toward greater levels of violence and instability.
In a statement, the UAE called for an immediate cessation of fighting and emphasized the need to return to negotiations as a means of resolving disputes.
The country also stressed the importance of maintaining safe and uninterrupted maritime movement through the Strait of Hormuz, describing the key waterway as essential to global trade and economic stability.
The UAE further condemned attacks on civilian infrastructure and facilities, including schools, universities, hospitals, desalination plants, energy installations, transportation centers and residential areas.
It said targeting civilian sites represents a serious violation of international law and cannot be accepted or justified under any circumstances.
The UAE reiterated that protecting civilians, preserving regional stability and pursuing diplomatic solutions remain essential to preventing further deterioration of the situation.
