UAE Tops 2025 Passport Ranking, Pakistan Lags Behind

Below Pakistan in the ranking are Iraq, Syria, and Afghanistan.

Dubai: According to the 2025 list of the world’s most powerful passports released by Arton Capital, the United Arab Emirates (UAE) has remained at the top for the seventh consecutive year. UAE passport holders can travel to 179 countries visa-free.

Arton Capital stated that the UAE’s stable economy and reputation as an investment-friendly hub have helped maintain the strength of its passport, while other major passports around the world have seen a decline in power.

Singapore and Spain rank second, with their citizens able to enter 175 countries without a visa.

The United States has suspended visa issuance for all Afghan passport holders.

Switzerland, South Korea, Germany, Sweden, Finland, Luxembourg, France, Italy, Netherlands, Ireland, Denmark, Greece, Austria, Belgium, Portugal, Malaysia, and Japan occupy third place, with their citizens able to travel to 174 countries visa-free.

The Pakistani passport is considered weak, allowing its holders to travel visa-free to only 45 countries. Below Pakistan in the ranking are Iraq, Syria, and Afghanistan.
