Dhirkot Shooting: Children Aged 10-12 on Way to School Killed

In Dhirkot, Attock, a school van was targeted by unidentified gunmen, resulting in the death of two children and injuries to five others. The attack happened early Thursday, with the perpetrators escaping the scene immediately after firing.

Rescue teams arrived promptly, transporting the injured and the deceased to a nearby hospital. The victims, aged between 10 and 12, were en route to school when the shooting occurred.

“Attackers Open Fire, Judge in Critical Condition”

The area has been sealed off by authorities, who have launched a manhunt to capture those responsible. Extra police forces have been deployed to assist in the search and apprehend the culprits.

Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has responded to the tragedy by requesting a comprehensive report from the Rawalpindi commissioner. She expressed profound sadness over the loss of the children and has instructed health officials to ensure the best possible care for the injured.
