Trump Threatens Iran With Fresh Military Action
“I was an hour away from making the decision to go today,” he stated
WASHINGTON: (Web Desk) – US President Donald Trump has said the United States may need to carry out further military action against Iran, adding that he was just an hour away from approving a strike before deciding to postpone it.
Speaking to reporters at the White House, Trump said he had been close to authorizing an attack but held back as diplomatic efforts continued.
“I was an hour away from making the decision to go today,” he stated, indicating that military plans had been prepared but temporarily paused.

Trump also claimed that Iranian leaders were seeking an agreement with Washington, describing them as “begging to make a deal,” while reiterating his position that Iran must not be allowed to develop nuclear weapons.
His remarks come amid heightened tensions and ongoing uncertainty over whether negotiations can prevent further escalation between the two sides.
The comments suggest that the US maintains a dual-track approach—keeping military options on standby while allowing space for ongoing diplomatic discussions.
