Trump Slams Indian Attack on Pakistan as ‘Shameful’
The international community is closely watching the situation as tensions continue to escalate in South Asia.
WASHINGTON: Former U.S. President Donald Trump has condemned India’s missile strikes on Pakistan, calling the attacks “shameful” and expressing concern over the rising tensions between the two nuclear-armed neighbors.
According to international news agencies, Trump reacted to the developments by saying, “It’s a shame. We’ve just heard about India’s attack on Pakistan. These two countries have been fighting for decades.”
The statement comes in the wake of India launching missile strikes on three different locations within Pakistan, resulting in the martyrdom of a child and serious injuries to two others.
In response, the Pakistan Air Force and Army carried out a swift and effective retaliation, shooting down two Indian aircraft and destroying a brigade headquarters.
