Tragic Incident: PTI Youth Leader Rehan Zaib Khan Shot Dead in Bajaur

BAJAUR, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa – In a tragic turn of events, Rehan Zaib Khan, a young leader of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and an independent candidate contesting in the national and provincial elections, was fatally shot by unidentified assailants in the Bajaur district.
District Police Officer Bajaur, Kashif Zulfiqar, reported that Rehan Zaib was present in Saddiqabad Phatak Bazaar Main Chowk as part of his election campaign when unknown individuals opened fire on him.
SHO Rashid Khan confirmed the incident, stating that Rehan Zaib Khan was contesting for NA-8 and PK-22 seats in the upcoming elections.
As a result of the incident, elections for both seats will be postponed, with a formal announcement to be made by the Returning Officer. According to Section 73 of the Election Act, elections are annulled upon the death of a candidate after the issuance of electoral symbols.
