Top civil and military leadership hold meeting to review prevailing security situation

Islamabad: (Staff Reporter) Top civil and military leadership will hold a meeting to review prevailing security situation and form a strategy to tackle the rising cases of terrorism in the country. PM Shehbaz will chair the National Security Committee and it will be attended by Finance Minister Ishaq Dar, Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto and other cabinet members.

According to the Armed Forces, Chairman Joint Chief of Staff Committee General Sahir Shamshad Mirza, Chief of Army Staff (COAS) Gen Asim Munir, Chief of Pakistan Navy and Pakistan Air Force. The military leadership would brief the meeting about terror incidents, situation at Pak-Afghan border and implementation of the National Action Plan.

As per details Ishaq Dar would give a briefing on economic situation of the country. The decision to call the NSC meeting was taken in a meeting between the prime minster and army chief on Thursday. During the meeting, PM Shehbaz paid tribute to the soldiers who sacrificed their lives in recent terror incidents as the top guns pledged to crush the terrorism menace across the country.
