TİKA Delivers Ramadan Food Aid to 1,500 Families in Pakistan
Senator Shaheen Butt Thanks Türkiye for Ongoing Support and Solidarity
ISLAMABAD: The Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TİKA), in partnership with Pakistan Bait-ul-Mal (PBM), has delivered food packages to 1,500 families across Pakistan to mark the holy month of Ramadan. The distribution ceremony took place in Rawalpindi, Muridke (Punjab), and Oghi (Khyber Pakhtunkhwa), where TİKA handed over the packages to PBM for distribution.
At the event, Dr. İrfan Neziroğlu, Ambassador of Türkiye to Pakistan, highlighted the strong historical and cultural ties between Türkiye and Pakistan. He said, “Today, on the occasion of Ramadan, we are coming together to support our brothers and sisters in need. We also look forward to working with PBM in the future to empower women and help them earn their own income.” Dr. Neziroğlu further mentioned that TİKA has carried out approximately 700 development cooperation projects in Pakistan over the last 15 years and assured that its sustainable projects would continue.
Senator Captain Shaheen Khalid Butt, Director General of Pakistan Bait-ul-Mal, expressed his gratitude, saying, “Türkiye’s support has always been a vital source of strength for us. Today’s aid distribution is yet another testament to the enduring friendship and solidarity between our two countries.”

In addition to food aid, TİKA is also organizing iftar programs throughout Ramadan for orphans, students, and other marginalized groups to foster solidarity between the people of Turkey and Pakistan.
