LAHORE: (Web Desk) – Three female doctors, including an associate professor affiliated with Services Hospital Lahore, have been suspended as authorities intensify investigations into the death of a domestic worker in Lahore’s Model Town area.
The suspended medical professionals have been identified as Dr Amrah Sabaahat, Dr Ayesha Umar Khan, and Dr Mansoora Mirza. Following the action, all three have been relieved of their duties and directed to report to the Specialized Healthcare and Medical Education Department pending further proceedings.
According to investigators, the doctors are being examined for their alleged role in medical procedures connected to an attempted termination of pregnancy and the alleged destruction of evidence related to the case. Officials stress that investigations remain ongoing and that final legal determinations will be made after reviewing all available evidence.
The case emerged after a domestic worker reportedly accused her employer’s son, Aun, and a driver, Hassan, of serious criminal offences, including sexual assault. Based on these allegations, Model Town police registered a case encompassing multiple charges, including rape, attempted abortion, destruction of evidence, and murder.
Police sources claim that a medical practitioner linked to Services Hospital was associated with a private healthcare facility on Raiwind Road, where the alleged abortion procedure was carried out. Investigators are examining the circumstances surrounding the medical treatment provided to the victim before her condition reportedly deteriorated.
Authorities further stated that the victim was later referred to Services Hospital after her health worsened. Before her death, she allegedly recorded statements accusing the two suspects of gang rape.

One of the accused, Hassan, remains in judicial custody, while the second suspect, Aun, has been granted bail. Law enforcement officials say forensic analysis, witness testimonies, and medical records will play a crucial role in determining the next phase of the investigation.
The case has attracted significant public attention, with calls for a transparent inquiry and accountability for all individuals found responsible. Health and law enforcement authorities have pledged to ensure that the investigation proceeds according to legal and procedural requirements.
