BANNU: Today, following Iftar, terrorists attempted to enter Bannu Cantonment but were thwarted by security forces, according to security sources.
The forces successfully foiled the attempt by the militants, who tried to breach Bannu Cantonment. In a desperate move, the terrorists crashed two bomb-laden vehicles into the walls of the Cantonment, triggering explosions, security sources revealed.
The vigilant security personnel stationed at various entry points neutralized six terrorists, while the remaining attackers were confined. The blasts caused significant damage to a nearby mosque, and the roof of a nearby house collapsed, resulting in injuries and fatalities among innocent civilians, according to sources.

The security forces have launched a clearance operation, which will continue until all militants are eliminated, said security sources.
