Terror Strikes Again:20 Labourers Kidnapped from Musa Khel After Panjgur Killings

In August 23 passengers were killed in the Rara Shim area of Musakhel

Seven labourers were brutally killed and one injured in an armed attack on a house in the Khudaabadan area of Panjgur, Balochistan, on Saturday.

Musa Khel-Unknown assailants attacked a private company’s camp on the national highway in Musakhel, Balochistan, kidnapping 20 laborers and setting machinery ablaze. Levies and district administration teams have been dispatched to the area.

Sources report that the armed men targeted the machinery of a private contractor working with the gas company. After setting the machinery ablaze, the assailants released the hostages. Levies forces and other security officials are investigating the incident.

A Levies Force statement confirmed the attack and the extensive damage to heavy machinery. They added that a cordon has been established around the area to monitor any suspicious activity. Further details of the investigation will be released to the media soon.

This attack follows a separate incident in the Godabdin area of Panjgur on the previous day, where seven laborers were killed and one injured in a shooting.District authorities reported that the victims, all from Multan, Punjab, were killed by militants believed to be associated with the banned Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA).

The laborers were working on a construction project at the time of the attack.

This incident follows yesterday’s deadly attack in Panjgur’s Khuda Abadan area, where armed men killed multiple individuals from South Punjab.

Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif has directed authorities to take all necessary measures to bring the criminals to justice. He stated that Pakistan is determined to eradicate all forms of terrorism from its soil. The Balochistan government has vowed to avenge the attack on the laborers.

President Asif Ali Zardari also condemned the incident, expressing deep sorrow over the loss of precious lives. He called for effective action against the terrorist elements targeting workers.

Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi added that those responsible for the attack on innocent laborers do not deserve any leniency. He expressed his sympathies to the families of the deceased and affirmed his solidarity with them during this difficult time.

All the victims hailed from Multan, Punjab, and were working on a house construction site when the incident took place.

According to the district administration, armed assailants entered the residence where the labourers were staying and opened indiscriminate fire,

The seven men were killed on the spot, while one, identified as Muhammad Ramzan, son of Allah Yar, was critically injured and rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment.

The victims of this tragic incident were identified as:

  1. Sajid, son of Allah Bux, r/o Multan
  2. Fiaz, son of Allah Ditta, r/o Multan
  3. Khalid, son of Fida Hussain, r/o Multan
  4. Shafeeq, son of Faiz Bux, r/o Multan
  5. Iftikhar, son of Iqbal, r/o Multan
  6. Salman, son of Fiaz, r/o Multan
  7. Bilal, son of Shokat, r/o Multan

Authorities have attributed the attack to militants from the banned Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA), who are believed to be behind the heinous assault.

“The terrorists, haunted by their failures, have forgotten all values of humanity and morality by targeting innocent laborers who had traveled to remote areas for work,” a security official stated.

Security forces cordoned off the area and initiated a search operation to apprehend the attackers. “The state and security forces will thwart the ambitions of these anti-national elements funded by external sources,” added the official.

Territories stopped a convoy of vehicles coming from Punjab including a passenger bus and killed 23 people in the firing incident that occurred in Rarasham area of Tingri tehsil located 72 kilometers from district Musa Khel in Balochistan.

The accused stopped the vehicles on the national highway and fired at the passengers in the same old pattern in which various labourers were gunned down in past incidents in the southwestern province.

A heavy contingent of Levies and police reached the spot. Balochistan Levies officials said that the dead bodies of the passengers are being shifted to the hospital.
