Ten Punjab Cities on High Alert as 960 Suspects Elude Law Enforcement
Ten major cities in Punjab are currently facing a significant threat from organized criminal activities, with law enforcement encountering substantial difficulties in apprehending dangerous suspects.

According to police sources, 960 individuals suspected of involvement in serious crimes, including illegal land occupation, extortion, kidnapping for ransom, and murder, are still at large.
The most affected cities include Rawalpindi, Dera Ghazi Khan, Bahawalpur, and Faisalabad, where criminal gangs have intensified their activities. These cities, along with others, are now on high alert as authorities struggle to contain the escalating crime wave.

Police reports reveal that these suspects are linked to 273 criminal gangs operating throughout the province. Bahawalpur is particularly affected, with 264 dangerous criminals still evading capture. In Dera Ghazi Khan, 134 suspects involved in serious offenses remain at large, while Faisalabad and Sahiwal are also hotspots, with 53 and 55 suspects still unaccounted for, respectively.
Despite extensive efforts, police have only succeeded in arresting 491 out of the 1,451 identified suspects. This leaves 960 suspects, many of whom are considered highly dangerous, still on the run, posing an ongoing threat to public safety.

The inability to apprehend these criminals has become a major challenge for law enforcement, raising concerns about the effectiveness of current strategies to tackle organized crime in the province.
