Temperatures fall as heavy rain and storms hit Sindh cities

Rain – (Web Desk) – Rain and thunderstorms hit many cities in Sindh late at night and early morning. The weather suddenly turned cold. People felt a clear drop in temperature after the rain.

Cities like Jacobabad, Shikarpur, Kashmore, and Mirpur Mathelo received thundershowers. The cool winds made the air fresh again. In many areas, electricity was cut off after the rain.

Jacobabad saw light rain, but power supply stopped in several places. The rain also slowed down the coming summer heat. In Shikarpur, light to moderate rain with cool breeze made the weather pleasant.

In Mirpur Mathelo and nearby towns like Garhi Chakar and Jarwar, several feeders tripped after the storm. Kashmore and nearby areas also received light rain with cold winds. This made the weather nice, but power outages were reported.

Ubauro also received light rain, which made the weather cool again.

In Karachi, rain is expected today after many hot days. Thunderstorms with strong winds may hit the city. The morning temperature was 23°C and it may rise to 32°C later. Humidity was high, and light wind was blowing.

In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, rain and snowfall were reported in different areas. Upper Dir received another spell of rain, while higher areas saw light snow. This disturbed daily life. Heavy rain and strong winds continued in parts of Khyber like Bara and Jamrud. Farmers said this rain is good for crops.

In Balochistan, heavy rain in areas like Kalat caused a drop in temperature. The weather turned much cooler.

Islamabad also saw rain, which brought the temperature down further.

NDMA forecasts thunderstorms and rain across Pakistan regions

In Punjab, cities including Lahore received rain. Light rain in Lahore during the night made the weather cooler. The temperature dropped and a cool breeze was felt. Rain was also reported in Arifwala, Lodhran, Kharian, and nearby areas.

The weather office said this rain spell will continue till March 20. More clouds, rain, and thunderstorms are expected in many parts of the country. Some areas may also receive heavy rain and hail.
