Muzaffarabad(Shoaib Mehmood)- Ms. Tehsib u-Nisa has been appointed as the Information Secretary of Azad Kashmir, becoming the first woman to hold the position. She was previously serving as Director General of Tourism and Archaeology.
Tehsib u Nisa belongs to the administrative services of Azad Jammu and Kashmir. She has also held the positions of Assistant Commissioner, Deputy Commissioner, and Commissioner, becoming the first woman to hold all three positions.
She started her service as an Assistant Commissioner in 2005. In 2013, she was appointed as the first Deputy Commissioner of Azad Kashmir. In 2020, she was appointed as the first Commissioner.
Earlier, she has also served as Director General Monitoring and Evaluation of Planning and Development Department, Commissioner of Rehabilitation, and Chief Administrator of Zakat.
She is a law graduate and has expertise in legal matters. She is known as an honest officer in the Azad Kashmir services.
