Minister Slams Modi Over Foreign Awards Amid Domestic Challenges
Islamabad: (Staff Reporter) – Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar has criticised Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, accusing him of pursuing “politics of manufactured prestige” through foreign awards.
In a post on X, Tarar questioned the credibility of honours allegedly created shortly before official visits, saying spelling mistakes on certificates and awards with only one recipient raised concerns over image-building efforts.

He said the BJP had portrayed such recognitions as proof of India’s rising global standing, despite what he described as hate-driven policies within the country.
Tarar added that the contrast was becoming increasingly apparent, claiming that while Modi receives ceremonial awards abroad, ordinary Indians continue to face serious domestic challenges.
