SZABMU PhD Programmes Launched in Surgery and Cardiology

SZABMU – (Web Desk) – Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto Medical University has launched new SZABMU PhD programmes in surgery, medicine, cardiology, pharmacology and several dental sciences, with many of these being offered for the first time in Pakistan.

The university has introduced these as separate and specialized PhD degrees. The programmes cover a wide range of fields including prosthodontics, operative dentistry, dental public health and dental materials.

University officials said the main goal is to promote higher education and medical research across the country. These programmes will help close the gap between clinical skills and advanced academic research.

Pakistan Medical and Dental Council has approved all clinical MDS programmes offered by the university. This is being seen as a major step forward for dental education in Pakistan.

The first batch of Health Professions Education has also successfully completed its course. The university has additionally launched new courses on lifestyle modification and patient safety.

According to the administration, these steps will improve research quality, strengthen the healthcare workforce and help produce skilled clinical scientists and medical experts for Pakistan’s future.
