Sohail Afridi IHC Petition to Meet Imran Khan for KP Budget
Sohail Afridi IHC Petition Filed Ahead of KP Provincial Budget Session
Islamabad – (Web Desk) – KP Chief Minister Sohail Afridi filed the Sohail Afridi IHC petition on Wednesday, asking the Islamabad High Court to allow him to meet PTI founder Imran Khan before the upcoming provincial budget.
CM Afridi spoke to reporters outside the IHC along with KP Finance Adviser Muzammil Aslam. He said the provincial budget is ready but needs Imran Khan’s final input before it can move forward.
He stressed that the people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa gave their vote to PTI and its founder. So consulting Imran Khan on budget matters is not just important — it is necessary.
The CM also raised serious concerns about KP’s share of federal resources. He claimed the province has been ignored in the federal budget and development programme. He went further, saying KP is being punished simply for supporting Imran Khan.
Afridi confirmed that PTI will hold a protest outside Parliament during the budget session, expected on June 10. He also made clear that as chief minister, he has full authority to make decisions on behalf of the KP government.
