Sindh Government Launches Online Service for Driving Licenses
The Sindh government has launched a new online service to streamline the process of obtaining driving licenses, making it more accessible for citizens.
This initiative allows individuals to apply for learning and international driving licenses online, with plans to soon include non-commercial license renewals.
To apply for a learning license, applicants can visit the website dlsonline.sindhpolice.gov.pk. After a waiting period of 42 days, they will be eligible to apply for a permanent license at any branch.
During the launch event, Provincial Home Minister Ziaul Hasan Lanjar commended the Inspector General of Sindh and the Deputy Inspector General of Driving Licenses for their efforts in implementing this modern service, emphasizing that it would improve the image of the Sindh Police.
Furthermore, the Sindh government had previously announced that all 11 driving license branches throughout the province are now equipped to issue international driving licenses. This online service became available to Sindh residents with valid licenses starting September 14, with six branches in Karachi and additional locations in Hyderabad, Nawabshah, Mirpurkhas, Sukkur, and Larkana participating in the launch.
