Sindh Announces Public Holidays for Eid-ul-Fitr 2025

Eid ul Fitr 2025 is expected to fall on March 31, following 29 days of Ramadan.

The Sindh government has declared public holidays for Eid-ul-Fitr 2025, with official leave set from Monday, March 31, to Wednesday, April 2.

A notification issued by the Services, General Administration, and Coordination Department of Sindh confirmed the three-day holiday period. The announcement aligns with the federal government’s decision to grant public holidays for Eid celebrations.

Eid ul Fitr 2025 is expected to fall on March 31, following 29 days of Ramadan. The final confirmation depends on the sighting of the Shawwal crescent.

According to the Ruet-e-Hilal Research Council, the new moon is expected to be visible on Sunday, March 30, provided the skies remain clear. Council Secretary General Khalid Ijaz Mufti stated that the moon will be over 26 hours old by sunset that evening, making it easily visible across the country.
