Sikh Guru Dawa Parbandhak Committee Elects New Leadership

Newly Elected Pakistan Sikh Guru Dawa Parbandhak Committee Holds Inaugural Meeting.

LAHORE: The inaugural meeting of the newly elected members of the Pakistan Sikh Guru Dawa Parbandhak Committee was convened in Islamabad, chaired by Arshad Farid Khan, Chairman of the Evacuee Trust Property Board. Additional Secretary Shrines, Rana Shahid Saleem, also attended the meeting.

During the meeting, Sardar Ramesh Singh Arora was unanimously elected as the Pradhan (leader) of the committee. Notably, Satwant Kaur, the first female member of the Parbandhak Committee on Sikh Gurudwara, was elected as the general secretary.

Expressing gratitude towards the Board, Additional Secretary Shrines, and all members, Pradhan Sardar Ramesh Singh Arora pledged to fulfill his responsibilities efficiently and take steps for the betterment of the Sikh nation. General Secretary Satwant Kaur affirmed the committee’s dedication to serving the welfare of the Sikh community in Pakistan.

The federal cabinet had previously approved the names of PSGPC members on February 20. The committee, comprising 13 members including 3 government representatives, consists of individuals from various regions including Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Sindh, and Baluchistan.
