Shaheen Afridi Ruled Out of BBL Due to Knee Injury

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan’s ODI cricket team captain Shaheen Shah Afridi has been ruled out of Australia’s Big Bash League (BBL) because of a knee injury.

Sources say Shaheen is likely to return to Pakistan on Wednesday, where a rehabilitation program will be arranged for him at the National Cricket Academy.

Meanwhile, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) is unwilling to take any fitness risks with the star pacer ahead of the T20 World Cup.

Shaheen Afridi had played four matches for Brisbane Heat before being sidelined due to the injury.
