Security forces neutralize 8 Khwarij, two soldiers martyred in KP operations
Cleanup operations continued in the area to eliminate the remaining Khawarij.
RAWALPINDI: In the last 24 hours, security forces killed eight Khwaraj militants while two soldiers, including Captain Muhammad Zohaibuddin, were martyred in an exchange of fire in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the first operation took place on November 30, 2024 in Bakakhel of Bannu district, following intelligence inputs about Khwaraj activities in the area.
Security forces targeted the Khwaraj location, killing five militants and wounding nine. Sepoy Iftikhar Hussain, 29, from Jhang district, was martyred in the exchange of fire.
In the second operation, which was carried out in Shagai area of Khyber district, three Khwaraj militants were killed and two were arrested.

During the intense firefight, Captain Muhammad Zohaibuddin, 25, from Lahore, who was leading his troops, was martyred. These militants were involved in several terrorist acts against both security forces and civilians.
Cleanup operations continued in the area to eliminate the remaining Khawarij.
