Security forces eliminate nine terrorists in North Waziristan operations

Security forces successfully targeted the militants’ location, killing six terrorists

RAWALPINDI: Nine terrorists were killed by Pakistani security forces in two separate intelligence-based operations in North Waziristan on January 11, 2025, according to a statement from the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) on Sunday.

The first operation took place in the general area of Dosalli, following intelligence reports about terrorist activity. Security forces successfully targeted the militants’ location, killing six terrorists and apprehending two others.

A second operation was carried out in the Esham area of North Waziristan, where three terrorists were neutralized after an intense firefight. Two other militants sustained injuries during the clash.

Weapons and ammunition were recovered from the deceased militants, who were reportedly involved in multiple attacks against security forces and the targeted killings of civilians.

The ISPR further stated that sanitization operations are ongoing in the area to ensure all remnants of terrorist elements are eliminated, reaffirming the commitment of Pakistan’s security forces to eradicate terrorism from the region.
