‘Saving 10 Million Lives’ Comment a Great Honour, Says Trump
Trump Claims He Prevented War Between Pakistan, India
WASHINGTON (Web Desk): US President Donald Trump has once again claimed that his intervention helped prevent a war between Pakistan and India, stating that Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif personally thanked him for saving millions of lives.
Trump made these remarks on Friday during a ceremony in Washington where Southern Boulevard was renamed as Donald J Trump Boulevard.
Highlighting what he described as his administration’s diplomatic achievements, Trump said that his leadership resulted in multiple peace agreements and helped ease tensions in several conflict zones.

“In one year, we made eight peace deals. We ended the conflict in Gaza and brought peace to the Middle East. We stopped India and Pakistan from fighting — two nuclear powers,” Trump said. “The Pakistani prime minister told me that Donald Trump saved at least 10 million lives, and that was a great honour for me.”
The US president added that such remarks from Pakistan’s leadership were deeply meaningful to him and reflected the success of his foreign policy approach.
Trump has repeatedly made similar statements since May last year, maintaining that pressure from the United States played a key role in de-escalating tensions between the two nuclear-armed neighbours.
