Saudia Peshawar Office Inauguration Marks New Step for Regional Travelers

Saudia Peshawar Office Inaugurated to Ease Travel for KP Residents

PESHAWAR – (Staff Reporter/Web Desk) – Saudia office Peshawar has officially opened its doors, marking the airline’s first-ever presence in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province. The Saudia KP office was inaugurated this week in Peshawar, the provincial capital, and officials say it will make travel much easier for people in the region.

KP Governor Faisal Karim Kundi shared the news on his X account. He said the new office is an important step toward improving travel services for people living in the province. Many families from KP travel to Saudi Arabia every year, mostly for Hajj and Umrah. Until now, they had no local office to turn to for help.

The Saudia Pakistan office network has been growing steadily, and this new branch in Peshawar shows the airline’s interest in reaching smaller cities, not just major hubs like Karachi, Lahore, and Islamabad. This move is expected to save travelers time and reduce the hassle of dealing with distant offices.

Saudi Arabia’s Ambassador to Pakistan, Nawaf bin Said Al-Malki, joined Governor Kundi at the inauguration ceremony. Both leaders spoke about the strong friendship between the two countries. The event was seen as another sign of the deep ties between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia.

Saudia is not just any airline. Founded back in 1945, it holds the title of Saudi Arabia’s oldest and first airline. Today, it plays a big role in the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 plan, which aims to reduce Saudi Arabia’s dependence on oil and build a stronger tourism and travel industry.

Saudi Arabia has been working hard to attract more visitors. Cities like Riyadh, Jeddah, and Taif are becoming popular stops for tourists. New destinations such as Qiddiya, AlUla, and the Red Sea coast are also drawing global attention. Saudia’s expansion into Pakistan supports this bigger tourism goal.

The airline recently earned recognition for its performance too. In May, Saudia was ranked the world’s most punctual airline for both departures and arrivals. This ranking came from Cirium, a well-known aviation data company. It followed an earlier achievement in January, when Saudia was named the second-most punctual airline globally for arrivals in 2025.

During the ceremony, Governor Kundi also raised another important request. He asked for a Saudi consulate to be set up in Peshawar. He believes this would make things even easier for people in KP who need visa or travel-related help.

Kundi ended his message with hope for the future. He said he looks forward to strengthening this partnership even further, for the benefit of the people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

For now, the new Saudia office in Peshawar stands as a small but meaningful step. It brings the airline closer to the people who need it most, cutting down travel stress and offering local support for one of the busiest travel routes in the region.
