
Saudi Arabia Detains Over 22,000 for Immigration Violations
Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Interior has announced the detention of 22,021 individuals for immigration-related offenses during raids conducted from August 29 to September 4.
The crackdown focused on violations of residency, border security, and labor laws.
Among those arrested, 14,508 were charged with breaches of residency laws, 4,511 with border security violations, and 3,002 with labor law infractions. Additionally, 998 individuals were caught attempting to cross the border illegally, primarily from Yemen and Ethiopia.
Eleven people were also detained for facilitating these violations.
Currently, over 15,000 expatriates are undergoing legal processing, with many being referred to their embassies for assistance with travel documents or deportation.

The Ministry has issued a strong warning that individuals found assisting illegal immigration may face severe consequences, including long prison terms and substantial fines.
Authorities are urging the public to report any instances of violations to the appropriate authorities.
