MUMBAI: (Web Desk) -The International Cricket Council has announced the official Team of the Tournament for the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026, with several standout performers recognised for their exceptional contributions during the competition.
Four players from the victorious India national cricket team have been included in the elite XI, led by Player of the Tournament Sanju Samson. The opener scored an impressive 321 runs in just five innings, delivering match-winning performances against the West Indies national cricket team and the England national cricket team. Samson also produced the highest individual score in a Men’s T20 World Cup final with a superb 89 against the New Zealand national cricket team.
Samson is joined in the team by fellow Indians Ishan Kishan, Hardik Pandya and Jasprit Bumrah, reflecting India’s dominant campaign on home soil.
Kishan played a key role at the top of the order, scoring 317 runs at a remarkable strike rate of 193.29. His performances included a brilliant 77 against the Pakistan national cricket team and a half-century in the final.
All-rounder Pandya impressed with both bat and ball, scoring two half-centuries and claiming nine wickets during the tournament. One of his standout innings came with a quick-fire 52 off 28 balls against the Namibia national cricket team.
Fast bowler Bumrah also earned a place in the XI after finishing as the tournament’s joint-leading wicket-taker with 14 scalps from eight matches. He delivered a memorable performance in the final, taking four wickets for 15 runs while maintaining an economy rate of 6.21 across the tournament.

Pakistan’s Sahibzada Farhan leads the batting charts in the tournament team after finishing as the top run-scorer with 383 runs at an average of 76.60. His tally included two centuries against Sri Lanka national cricket team and Namibia.
From South Africa national cricket team, captain Aiden Markram was selected after scoring 286 runs, including three half-centuries, as his side reached the semi-finals. Teammate Lungi Ngidi also earned a spot after claiming 12 wickets at an average of 15.58.
England’s Will Jacks was chosen for his impactful all-round performances, helping the England national cricket team reach the last four. Spinner Adil Rashid also made the team after taking 13 wickets during the competition.
The West Indies national cricket team is represented by all-rounder Jason Holder, who delivered important performances with both bat and ball.
From Zimbabwe national cricket team, fast bowler Blessing Muzarabani earned recognition after playing a crucial role in his side’s impressive group-stage campaign, including a four-wicket haul against the Australia national cricket team.
Meanwhile, Shadley van Schalkwyk of the United States national cricket team was named as the tournament’s 12th player after claiming 13 wickets with an economy rate of 6.80.
The selection panel included former cricketers and commentators Ian Bishop and Natalie Germanos, former England national cricket team captain Eoin Morgan, ICC representative Gaurav Saxena and sports journalist Rex Clementine.
