Areas at high risk include Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Murree, Guliyat, Mansehra, Kohistan, Abbottabad, Dir, Swat, Kashmir, and Dera Ghazi Khan.
The forecast predicts significant rainfall that could lead to overflowing mountain streams and subsequent flood threats in various regions. Urban centers such as Lahore, Sialkot, Gujranwala, Narowal, Rawalpindi, Faisalabad, and Peshawar are on alert for potential flash floods due to heavy downpours.
Moreover, residents in hilly terrains of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Murree, Guliyat, Kashmir, and Gilgit-Baltistan are cautioned about possible landslides triggered by the inclement weather conditions.
Today’s weather outlook anticipates rain in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, the Potohar region, Islamabad, Upper and Central Punjab, Northeast Balochistan, and Kashmir. Residents in Gilgit-Baltistan and South Punjab should also brace for strong winds and thunderstorms in localized areas.
