Renowned Writer Khalilur Rehman Qamar Weighs Decision to Exit Pakistan.
In a recent television interview, Khalilur Rehman Qamar openly discussed the emotional and psychological distress he is experiencing following his abduction and the subsequent viral spread of a private video.
The acclaimed writer of the drama serial Mere Paas Tum Ho expressed his deep love for Pakistan but admitted that recent events have made him question his future in the country. “I have always held Pakistan close to my heart, but these recent events have shaken my faith in my place here,” Qamar shared, his voice heavy with emotion.
He continued, “I never imagined I would consider leaving my homeland. Yet, I find myself wrestling with this painful thought.” Qamar revealed that he is fervently praying for the strength to stay connected to his country, acknowledging the difficulty of living apart from the land he cherishes.

“I pray to Allah for the endurance to face this situation, as I cannot picture a life away from this soil,” he added.
The writer also addressed his anticipation for the court’s ruling in the ongoing case related to the scandal. “I am awaiting the verdict and am committed to ensuring that those responsible face justice, regardless of where that pursuit may lead me,” Qamar stated. He emphasized his dedication to seeing justice served and his willingness to take necessary actions to hold the wrongdoers accountable.
When asked if he would change any aspect of his life, Qamar reflected on his experiences and noted, “I would prefer to live in an environment where mutual respect is a given. This is a new concept for me, something I had not previously considered. Despite all that Allah has blessed me with, I find myself longing for a place where respect is prevalent.”
