Dr. Zakir Naik Arrives in Islamabad for 15-Day Tour

Renowned preacher welcomed by Ministry of Religious Affairs officials at the airport.

Renowned Islamic preacher Dr. Zakir Naik arrived in Islamabad on Monday for a 15-day tour.

Dr. Naik touched down at Islamabad International Airport early in the morning and was greeted by officials from the Ministry of Religious Affairs, including Syed Dr. Atta ur Rehman. Also present to welcome him were Rana Mashood and Parliamentary Secretary for Religious Affairs Shamsher Ali Mazari.

The tour, set to begin on October 5 in Karachi and conclude on October 20 in Islamabad, will feature Dr. Naik delivering lectures in three major cities: Karachi, Lahore, and Islamabad.

His first lecture will take place in Karachi, where he will address the fundamental question of “the purpose of our life” at Bagh-e-Quaid, situated opposite the mausoleum of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah. The next day, his son, Dr. Fariq Naik, will discuss the significance of understanding the Quran with a lecture titled “Kya Quran ko Samajh kar Parhna Zaroori Hai” (Is it necessary to understand the Quran while reading?).

While the dates for the Lahore lectures are set for October 12 and 13, and those for Islamabad are scheduled for October 19 and 20, the specific topics and venues for these events have not yet been revealed, creating excitement around the tour.

Dr. Naik’s visit to Pakistan follows a period of self-imposed exile due to controversies in India. He currently resides in Malaysia, where he continues to engage with global audiences through his lectures.

Joining him on the tour will be his son, Dr. Fariq Naik, who is also an Islamic scholar. The father-son duo will share their insights on various Islamic topics, engaging with audiences and promoting meaningful dialogue.
