Rawalpindi Women University Celebrates 78th Independence Day with Patriotic Fervor

Faculty members and administrative staff joined in the celebrations by cutting a special Independence Day cake.

Rawalpindi Women University (RWU) marked Pakistan’s 78th Independence Day with a solemn and dignified ceremony held at the university campus. The event began with the recitation of the Holy Quran, followed by the national anthem and flag-hoisting ceremony in front of the Vice Chancellor Secretariat. Senior faculty members raised the national flag as the university guard presented a formal salute, while the atmosphere resonated with spirited chants of “Pakistan Zindabad.”

This year’s celebrations also paid tribute to the recent national milestone “Marka-e- Haq,” symbolizing resilience and unity across the country. A special prayer was offered for the peace, progress, and prosperity of Pakistan.

Students added a festive spirit to the event by performing patriotic songs, which were warmly received by the audience. The university campus was adorned with vibrant green and white lights, illuminating the evening and adding to the celebratory mood.
