Rawalpindi Anti-Terrorism Court Orders Seizure of PTI Leaders’ Properties

Court Orders Property Seizure of PTI Leaders for Evasion

ISLAMABAD: The Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) in Rawalpindi has issued orders for the confiscation of properties belonging to Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) MPA Qazi Ahmed Akbar and PTI leader Iman Tahir.

The ATC directed the seizure of both individuals’ assets due to their failure to appear in court regarding cases related to the November 26 protests. Five cases were registered against the duo at the Hazro police station in Attock.

The court had previously declared the accused as absconders and issued arrest warrants for their detention.

The Attock police submitted a report to the court, stating that the accused were in hiding to evade arrest. Due to their continuous absence and evasion, the court issued orders to confiscate their properties.
