Ration Distribution by APOGF for Flood-Affected Families in Islamabad, Relief Bags Also Sent to Swat

Flood relief ration bags distributed in Islamabad and Swat to support families with essential supplies

Islamabad – (Special Correspondent / Web Desk) – In Islamabad today, ration bags were distributed among families affected by recent rains and floods. The relief packages included flour, rice, ghee, sugar, tea, soap, and various pulses. Additional ration bags were also dispatched to support deserving families in Swat.

Those who personally participated in the distribution included Ajmal Sabir (GM, OGDCL), Khalid Mushtaq Mumtaz (Social Worker), Syed Ijaz Bukhari (Labor Leader / Social Worker), Syed Sajjad Gardezi (General Secretary, Textile Workers Federation), Chaudhry Armaghan Afzal, Waheed Khan, Qurat-ul-Ain Waheed, Naveed Aslam, and Arshad Chaudhry.

Financial support for this welfare initiative was provided by Nasir Mansoor (General Secretary, National Trade Union Federation – NTUF), Zara Khan (General Secretary, Home-Based Women Workers Federation – HBWWF), Syed Ijaz Bukhari (Chairman, All Pakistan Trade Union Federation – APTUC / General Secretary, All Pakistan Oil & Gas Employees Federation – APOGF), along with their friends and colleagues.

The same team also organises a daily free meal (langar) outside Polyclinic Hospital, where more than 250 people are served food every day.

On the occasion, Ajmal Sabir said, “We stand shoulder to shoulder with the flood victims in this difficult time and will continue to play our role until their full rehabilitation is achieved.”

Labour leader Syed Ijaz Bukhari remarked:

“Floods have caused massive destruction, wiping out homes and livelihoods. The government must take stronger measures to speed up the rehabilitation process.”

All participants reaffirmed their commitment to continue serving humanity with greater dedication.
