Islamabad: (Staff Reporter) Interior Minister and Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PMLN) senior leader Rana Sanaullah visited the under construction Diamer Basha Dam.
According to the source, the minister inspected the security measures at the Diamer Basha project site, and also observed the construction work on the dam as the interior minister was briefed about the security measures by the project authorities.
As per details Rana Sanaullah said that the dam is an important project for the development of the state, and as per the schedule, the completion of the dam is directly related to a safe and sound environment.
Furthermore the implementation of collective security is necessary at the project site. The project management briefed the interior minister about the completion of the project as it is expected to be finished by the year 2029 as per the schedule.
Moreover the water storage capacity of the Diamer Basha dam is 8.1 million acre-feet, with the ability to produce 4,500 megawatts of electricity.
