ISLAMABAD: The Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee confirmed on Wednesday that the moon of Rajab 1446 AH has been sighted in Pakistan. The announcement was made by Maulana Abdul Khabeer Azad, Chairman of the Committee, at the Ministry of Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony in Islamabad.
Following deliberations and evidence gathered from various regions of Pakistan, the Committee declared that the first day of Rajab will begin on Thursday, January 2, 2024.
Additionally, it was confirmed that Shab-e-Meraj, a significant night of worship in the Islamic calendar, will fall on January 28, 2025 (Tuesday). This marks an important moment for Muslims, who observe the night for prayers and reflection.
