Punjab Triples Education Budget to Rs 46 Billion, Speaker Announces
Speaker Urges Public-Private Collaboration to Improve Education in Punjab
LAHORE (Web Desk)- The Punjab government has increased its education budget from Rs 17 billion to Rs 46 billion, marking more than a threefold rise, Punjab Assembly Speaker Malik Muhammad Ahmad Khan announced at a ceremony at Times University in Multan.
Praising the government’s commitment to education, the Speaker called the budget increase a significant step forward.

He highlighted the province’s educational challenges, stating, “It is a grave injustice that over 25 million children remain out of school. Today, our government has raised the education budget from 17 billion to 46 billion. I commend the Punjab government for tripling the allocation for education.”
Malik Muhammad Ahmad Khan also stressed that he supports collaboration between public and private educational institutions to address the country’s education issues.
