Punjab Business Closing Time Revised for Summer 2026

Punjab  – (Web Desk) – The Punjab government has revised the Punjab business closing time across the province. Longer daylight hours and rising summer temperatures are the main reasons behind this decision. The new timings are effective immediately.

Restaurants, cafés, cinemas, and food outlets can now stay open until 11pm. Standalone fruit and vegetable shops are also included in this updated schedule. However, takeaway and home delivery services are fully exempt from these restrictions.

Some businesses have been given a complete exemption. Pharmacies, hospitals, clinics, and medical laboratories can operate without any time limit. This ensures that healthcare services remain available around the clock.

Standalone bakeries, tandoors, milk shops, and dairy stores are also exempt. Fuel stations, CNG points, and electric vehicle charging facilities face no closing restrictions either. Gyms, sports courts, IT companies, and call centres are free to operate at their own hours.

The government has not announced a fixed end date for these timings. The notification states that these hours will remain in force until further orders. Businesses are advised to follow the updated schedule to avoid any penalties.
