Punjab Announces Major Bureaucratic Reshuffle With Key Transfers

LAHORE: (Staff Reporter) – The Punjab government has announced a major administrative reshuffle, transferring and appointing several senior bureaucrats, directors general and deputy commissioners across the province.

The Services and General Administration Department issued an official notification detailing the changes, which include key appointments in various departments and district administrations.

According to the notification, Director General Punjab Food Authority Syed Musa Raza has been transferred and appointed as Director General Environment Protection Agency. Mansoor Ahmed, the former DG Parks and Horticulture Authority (PHA), has been appointed as the new DG Food Authority Punjab.

DG Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) Umar Javed has been assigned as DG Suthra Punjab, while Toba Tek Singh Deputy Commissioner Umar Abbas Mela has been appointed as the new DG PDMA.

Several deputy commissioners have also been replaced as part of the reshuffle. Sialkot Deputy Commissioner Saba Asghar Ali has been transferred and appointed as Chief of Section at the Planning and Development Board, while Owais Mushtaq, Additional DG Housing LDA, has taken charge as the new Deputy Commissioner Sialkot.

Additional Secretary Home Maham Asif Malik has been appointed Deputy Commissioner Toba Tek Singh, while Okara Deputy Commissioner Ahmed Usman Javed has been posted as Additional Secretary Home Punjab. Muhammad Akram Malik, previously Additional Secretary Irrigation, has been appointed Deputy Commissioner Okara.

Jhang Deputy Commissioner Ali Akbar has been appointed Additional Secretary Irrigation, while DG Suthra Punjab Babaruddin has been named the new Deputy Commissioner Jhang. Additional Secretary Health and Population Hina Arshad has been appointed Deputy Commissioner Khanewal.

Deputy Commissioner Nankana Sahib Muhammad Tasleem Akhtar has been transferred as Additional Secretary Health and Population Department, while Board of Revenue Secretary Rana Hameed has been appointed the new Deputy Commissioner Nankana Sahib.

Meanwhile, Additional Secretary Finance Punjab Syed Muhammad Abbas Shah has been appointed Deputy Commissioner Bahawalnagar.
