PTI won 33, PPP won 23 and PMLN won 16 in District Council seats of LG elections: AJK
Muzaffarabad: (Web Desk) According to unofficial results, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf won 33 District Council seats in the first phase of the local government (LG) elections held in Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) on Sunday.
According to the source, Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) remained second by winning 23 District Council seats and Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) grabbed 16 seats in the local government elections held in Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) after a gap of three decades.
Neelum Valley: Furthermore in the Neelum Valley, PTI won 7 seats while PMLN and PPP grabbed 3 seats each while 2 seats were won by independents.
Jhelum Valley: Moreover PTI bagged 10 seats in Jhelum Valley, followed by PMLN with 5 seats and PPP won 3 seats.
Muzaffarabad: As per details, in Muzaffarabad, PPP edged PTI by winning 17 seats. PTI remained second with 16 seats while Muslim Conference grabbed 3 seats and PMLN got 2 seats. 2 seats were won by independents and JKPP secured 1 seat.
Muzaffarabad Municipal Corporation wards: Meanwhile according to unofficial results of all 36 wards of Muzaffarabad Municipal Corporation, PMLN won 12 seats while PPP remained second with 8 seats. PTI grabbed 7 seats while independents also secured 7 seats. Muslim Conference got only 2 seats.
