PTI Seeks End to Deadlock with Establishment, Hopes for Resolution: Hasan
Islamabad-PTI Information Secretary Raoof Hasan expressed optimism about resolving the deadlock between PTI and the establishment. In an interview with Voice of America Urdu, Hasan stated that “the doors for dialogue with the establishment remain open.” He emphasized PTI’s willingness to engage in talks, reiterating that the party doesn’t want to involve the establishment in politics.
Hasan acknowledged that power currently resides with the establishment, not the government. He mentioned that PTI leaders can have individual contacts with the establishment, but clarified that this doesn’t mean compromising on the party’s principles.
The PTI spokesperson stressed that the electoral mandate should belong to the people and called for its correction through legal processes or new elections. He announced that PTI will mobilize on the streets, starting a nationwide movement on September 8, with rallies planned in major cities across Pakistan.
