PTI Leaders and Workers Face Multiple FIRs Over Islamabad Protest

Islamabad: The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) party has come under intense scrutiny following the registration of four new FIRs (First Information Reports) in Rawalpindi, bringing the total number of cases to 16. These new cases stem from PTI’s participation in a protest held on November 24 in Islamabad. Among the prominent figures named in the FIRs are PTI founder Bushra Bibi, Aleema Khan, Ali Amin Gandapur, Omar Ayub, Hammad Azhar, Asad Qaiser, and Arif Alvi.

The FIRs, filed in Rawalpindi’s various police stations, accuse PTI leaders and workers of organizing an unlawful assembly, obstructing public roads, and causing disruption to daily life. Protesters allegedly attacked law enforcement officers using sticks and stones, resulting in several arrests.
