PTI Chairman Clarifies No Disagreement with Sunni Ittehad Council

Gohar emphasized that party workers are the ones who are given tickets and the party’s decisions are final.

Islamabad: Chairman of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Barrister Gohar Khan has stated that there is no disagreement with the Sunni Ittehad Council.

Speaking to the media at the Islamabad High Court, Barrister Gohar Khan remarked that the decision to align with the Sunni Ittehad Council was appropriate at the time.

He further added that if they were to go to the Supreme Court, they would be allotted specific seats; their reserved seats cannot be given to any other party.

Regarding the issue of tickets, he explained that Omar Sarfraz Cheema was previously a governor, hence he was not given a ticket. According to him, an individual who holds the position of governor cannot contest elections for two years.

Chairman PTI emphasized that party workers are the ones who are given tickets and the party’s decisions are final. He highlighted that it is the founding members of PTI who make all the decisions for the party.

Objection Raised on PTI’s Senate Candidate Murad Saeed’s Nomination Papers in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa

In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, objections have been raised against the nomination papers of Murad Saeed, the Senate candidate from Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI).

According to private TV channel, JUI-F’s candidate Attaul Haq Darwish has lodged an objection, stating that Murad Saeed is ineligible and cannot contest the Senate election.
